They are rated at 60w. I wanted to get an AQ4x90 if my SL80s could handle it.

try it and see.....if not, then you can turn it down and have some headroom

I have 60w or so on them right now. If they can't handle it, will it be distorted?

just make sure you xover them over higher, 100hz

I have them crossed really high.
