Hey,

I need some help on building boxes, what is the best wood to use when building sub boxes, with fiberglass tops. Email me at [email protected] . I am gonna be out of town for a few days so any response would be great.

MDF. About 15 a sheet at Home Depot.

MDF is good...its what most people use. Stay away from particle board....its crap for making speaker boxes. If you can find it, 3/4" Medite is quite good if not better than MDF. Medite is about twice as dense, but at about 4 times the price. Some people use Birch or Oak wood because of its higher density, but again at a much higher price and of course...weight. I'd just stick with MDF though...its cheap and effective. :D
