Compare these two boxes....

Would 1.8 cubes @30Hz be as musical and punchy as 1.5 cubes sealed. Compare the two please. I can't decide which way to go...

for the Q, i would personally go with the ported 1.8 @ 30Hz, it will still have good punch to it, and it will most liely hit deeper, and louder aswell.

yeah, it's for the Q.....I'm just trying to figure out which way to go. I want the most bang for my buck without having to sacrifice too much trunk space. This is the first car I've had in a while and I'm used to SUV's with unlimited room.

You will not be disapointed with the ported box. Just let me know which on you decide on and then I can start building it for ya. :D

Oh also did you check to make sure you had plenty of room for you stroller and etc?

A ported box will never hit "lower" than a sealed box. Tuning that low just over-emphasizes the low end giving the effect of a louder low end.

Either way, you'll probably appreciate the extra output from the ported and won't miss the loss in SQ from the sealed.
