May look stupid, but how would a ported box with a compression chamber act?
Would it provide the
"spring" effect with also the advantage of a port.

the gap between the board and the wall would act like a port but with a port length of 3/4"
ive seen tri tuned enclosures work before.

The port would become very inefficient. As the cross sectional area of the blocking section gets larger, the sub will begin to act more and more like a small sealed enclosure and the port will become less and less efficient.

If the opening is small enough it will act like a crappy dual-chamber reflex box (unless tuned specifically and properly). Otherwise it will just act like a crappy bass reflex box.

reminds me of the dcr tri tune i was talking about but with slot ports.
