box design help

Im about t build a new box for my 12" 3 hp i just reconed and i put it in my box i had my sx in and its way peaky so my ? is how do you go about designing a box for a sub with no parameters. can you basicly go by the old parameters? Im thinking 1.75 to 2 cuft tuned in the 30 hz range.

what do you guys think?

what size is your old box and whats it tuned to?

2.25 tuned to 38 hz

Id make the box the same size or a little smaller and tune around 32-34hz

thats what i was planning 2 cubic feet tuned to 30 hz
