is my head unit capable of going active and what the perks to doing so...
it'd like to keep it simple.

What is it that you think you are lacking? What's the install look like? If that's ****** then forget about purchasing more equipment.

i don't think that unit is active capable.

Basically going active means taking out the crossovers that came with your components. And fine tuning your mids and tweets yourself. Its night and day difference IMO.

Perhaps look into a RF 3sixty.2 or bitone.

you can go active on anything....you just need to buy more equipment if the deck isn't capable

edit....i see what you said there and i agree
