View Full Version : Revo Designs; do not buy from him
01-02-2009, 04:53 PM
I would not buy from Revo Designs (http://www.caraudio.com/forum/member.php?u=37540) again, and I advise you dont either.
I bought a TI84 (http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=352074) from him a little over a month ago. He never sent the calculator. I pm'd him numerous times asking for a refund or just ship it. He finally did respond back explaining he saw my payment in his paypal and forgot about the transaction until he logged in again.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt, I did see he doesnt log in here much. However this has gotten out of hand. His complete lack of communication now leads me to this thread. I also did email him, I got no response either.
If he sees this thread then he has only two options:
- Send me the calculator with a partial refund
- Refund me every penny and a few bucks for completely wasting my time.,
I am a college student and I needed that calculator for the semester final, I had to borrow a friends in the end.
I do not want an apology or any excuses now. This feedback will not be retracted by any means.

dang, ***** bro, can you do a reverse payment, did you pay with paypal?
02-12-2009, 05:11 PM
its too late to reverse. if i do a reverse i dont want my account to freeze for the processing
02-12-2009, 05:13 PM
it shouldnt, whatever card you used to purchase, just call that company and tell them about the situation, and they should get your money back. and then paypal will take the money from the scammer, and he is ****ed!!
02-12-2009, 05:16 PM
eh $40 for all that drama?
02-12-2009, 05:20 PM
hell ya bro money is money...shitt
02-12-2009, 05:31 PM
eh $40 for all that drama?
only he is going to have the drama, did you pay with paypal funds or with a cc?
02-12-2009, 05:32 PM
paypal using a cc
02-12-2009, 05:38 PM
call your cc company, let them know, and they will get your money back and go after paypal, i did this when mark potts scammed me of 200, to build my box lol. 3 months passed and nothing, so i called chased, told them the story, and bam, got my money back and potts was in the negative!!!

I found him by doing a little google searching on some of the info I had of him I found he posted recently on a GTI forum:
He goes by the name GTI3Driver there, his name matches "Joe" and from Illinoise along with his email addys
So I made a thread over there: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeropost?cmd=fshow&id=1 , its labeled " Do not buy from "GTI3Driver" aka Revo Designs; scammed me on a different forum"
Hopefully I can finally get this resolved.

Well my thread got locked over there. :/ Dont know exactly why, the posts that were posted were completely ridiculous.

lol what duche bags
03-10-2009, 04:22 PM
Since it got locked i tried replying to a few posts via pm and got some serious attitudes:
Megalomaniac (12:02 PM 3-10-2009): "***** for you, and why buy a calculator from some board? Ebay or something not good enough? Better yet, a brick-and-mortar store?" It is a forum I am frequent on, I never have gotten scammed before, this is a first, I was shocked this happened, he was good on communication at first. There were none eBay for that price and at the stores they cost well over $150 for the ti84.
Scuba2001 (12:03 PM 3-10-2009): again... ***** for you. you're out of luck, waiting 3+ months to do anything.
Megalomaniac (12:07 PM 3-10-2009): no, I was in contact with him via private messaging. He never logged on after he gave me his excuse. and the email addy he gave me for his paypal he never responded back to. I do not understand why my thread was locked on a scammer on your forum.
Scuba2001 (12:09 PM 3-10-2009): because it's posted in the wrong forum...
Again, go deal with the dude off of the boards. That's why it was locked.
then i tried responding back and the *** blocked me "Error
This user does not accept messages from you."
and another guy
Megalomaniac (12:04 PM 3-10-2009): "i've got the brooklyn bridge for sale... IN THE CLASSIFIEDS.
I could not post the thread in the classified section, I guess my post count was too low. I am sorry for me being scammed and letting him flaunder around on your site.
mad8vskillz (12:05 PM 3-10-2009): read the rules noob. TCL is not the place to point fingers at sellers. thats what classifieds are for.
Megalomaniac (12:14 PM 3-10-2009): I cannot post in the classified section. Instead of locking the thread, the mods should have just moved it, wouldnt that make more sense?"
mad8vskillz (12:14 PM 3-10-2009): complain to them. or better yet just leave
same thing again.
03-10-2009, 04:30 PM
We must unite and spam their forum with ***** photos.
03-10-2009, 04:30 PM
don't understand why mods on certain sites don't communicate better. G?L with this guy. somone do an IP CHECK.
