I've narrowed down my choices for a new headunit to these two. Are these two units pretty much the same control wise? Which one would you choose and why, Pioneer or Premier?

Also how is the ipod connectivity for these models?

I used to have the Premier 490ib and really liked it but something went wrong with it and i had to return. They didnt have any more in stock so now Im looking for a new headunit.

Are the features still the same between the Pioneer P6000UB and the Premier P600UB?

I think the main difference is that the Premier gets a better warranty.

the pioneer brand labels their "premier" products as premier

the only real difference is the extended warranty and the logo says premier instead of pioneer

i would buy the premier because if you have any problems within the first two years you can return it for the newest alternative

this is better than the one year included with the regular pioneer as most electronics start to breakdown and stop working right after the first year

irony in it's purest form :crap:

but yeah go premier

The 600UB comes with the iPod (CD-IU50) control cable, the 6000UB doesn't so you need to get it separate or you can use the one your iPod came with.

You only get the 2 year warranty from an authorized dealer. If you buy Pioneer online just buy the Pioneer and save some bucks.

600UB does not come with the ipod cord i believe

cause the ones that come with ipod controls are labeled IB

but i could be wrong

with my premier deck it came with the ipod cable which the pioneer one wouldn't

and yeah buy online

you'll save a bunch

As a dealer of both it is simple. They are very similar. The Premiere has a 2 year warranty and includes the IPOD and USB cable while the Pioneer has a 1 year warranty and no IPOD cable.

does anyone know if the 600ub is HD radio compatible?

the ipod cable is nothing more than a regular ipod cable...

i had the 6000 and it was the same as the 600 aside from a little bit or coloration vs the 6000 and the cable
