I have an '05 Cobalt LS coupe. Right now I have:
Alpine CDA-9884
Alpine MRP-M500
Infinity REF1052W
The sub I can replace later. Right now I need advice on good speakers (component or coaxial) for no more than say $175 and an amp(preferably Alpine) for about the same price.
SQ is my goal. Yes, I plan on deadening my doors. Now how much deadener do I need? I want the doors and trunk done.
And finally any opinions on a 10" SQ sub for future references would be appreciated. Budget will probably be about $150-200 on sub. Thanks.

He wants component advice.
You are going to have a hard time finding a newer alpine for 175, even though you might find a steal on one.
I'd suggest looking into Hertz, Lower-End Rainbows, (even though I didnt personally like the set I heard) Alpine Type X, Lower-End Focals andddd CDT :-)

diamond hexes are amazing, anyone who says they aren't worth the 200 dollars is full of it. I will never change these components unless i am looking to spend 400+ on something new.
They are much louder and sound better than the CDT's i used to have, and the midbass is amazing.

Bravox Audio, cleaner at higher volumes and can take power...
