How picky are you about midrange response?

I've heard that's where they could use improvement, and obviously would benefit from bi-amping...

It really depends on what your budget is, what type of music you listen to, the installation, and power you are supplying them.. Answer some of these questions and we can get more specific :)

Not trying to knock, as I really like RE, but my brother had the XXX components--I wasn't a fan. Granted, he didn't do everything he could (deaden the doors, use a nice SQ amp, "perfectly" place tweeters) but I would look elsewhere with what's out there

i think they sound amazing. the SQ is definatly there, and the midbass is LOUD. the mids are beefy. IIRC they are about 7-10lbs peice. i was very impressed by them. but i heard two sets in a blazer but im sure 1 set would still *******

Well i will be deadning my doors if i buy some of these, and i have a crunch powering my speakers, i have plenty of power going to them and i listen to mostly rap, and anything with heavy bass. I plan to mount my tweeters on my doors also,

will the xxx components fit in these kick panels fine? because i know these wont fit in my door. I'm afraid they will be too deep.
