I'm going to help my brother build a truck box for his reg cab Ranger. Dim 52 w X 14 h X 8bd & 5td, that's close to 2.11ft^3. Now the box is for three 8" Kicker cvr's, we wanted to go ported but am not sure if this is enogh airspace?? Also we want the design to be subs foward and port up, do you think this will sound good with the port facing up or will there be too much port noise? Suggestions please. Thanks

Ive got more or less the same dimensions in my truck (F350, box is 3 inches longer and 2 inches less-tall). Literally identical airspace - 2.1134 before displacements.
Im throwing in a pair of 8s ported. You can definitely do ported, if anything drop one sub and port em. Should be louder than 3 sealed.

Ford trucks in general get loudest subs forward driver's side, port side firing to the passenger's side....or so Ive been told.

Find out real quick in a day or two. :D
