l x w x h / 1728 = cu ft... I sure hope you are using calculations to make a bandpass box, that will take a lot of math to sound right ;)

Why different size subs?

thats going to sound terrible dude. since you dont know the answer to your question you obviously dont do this professionally and youd have to be a pro to do the math it takes to build a band pass. also, a band pass wont work with two different subs. there will be so much cancellation you wont be able to hear them. and what you can hear will come out as distortion.

Yeah, with me being an audiobahn junky i would definately reccomend NOT putting either one of those speakers in a bandpass. All audiobahns that i have worked with sound much better in ported boxes. I definately would not reccommend running two different TYPES of subs, unless u just want to mess them up. And even if you separated the box you would still get cancellation of the front wave so it would ****... especially in a bandpass. And like Grand AMature was saying you either have to know your math or have a program that u know how to use and read. Sorry to dissapoint you but u should do a little more research on building your box.

ok I've probably asked before but forgot...GRAND AMature...are you from grandamgt.com? I know I've seen the name before..and grand am gives it away.

ok ive changed the plans so i can either do a ported or sealed box witch would you recomend with those subs? o by the way i have 2 diffrent sizes of subs because the 10s are for tight bass and the 12 is for deeper bass

ok slot port or tube ports ive never heard a slot port

If built correctly they should sound the same. But with a slot port you can have more port area for competing. :)

ok thans the slot port it is ..thanks

i shouldn't really say that. You have more freedom with the port area with square ports as opposed to using pvc. Seeing as how pvc only comes in certain sizes. :)

ok sorry 1 more question should i seperate the subs into 3 chambers or should i put them all in one big chamber?

08-02-2003, 01:35 PM
Definately separate, if you keep them all in one chamber you will damage your speakers.

not neccasarily. You run a higher risk of damaging all of them if one blows. :)
