Mmm, can't wait to hear them :) Too bad I probably won't (check out the price tag ... $3500, although they will most likely be MUCH less than that)

F1 Status dealers are pretty uncommon too, aren't they? I think Portland has 1...

Its always great to see companys put out highly expensive stuff beyond most peoples price range. It seems to be a small trend i see pop up every now and then.

The driver is made by Scan-speak. Many Hi-fi brand use it (Proac, Wilsonaudio, Merlin, etc) The Alpine cost a lot but it's cheaper if you buy the driver from a partsexpress or order shop and make a crossover. Vifa make similar tweeter and it's a lot cheaper.

For a 4 ohm version look here http://www.d-s-t.com/scs/index.htm

Ok, so this is way overdue but I got em installed and they sound fantastic. The tweets rock too which is what I was hoping for. I ended up with some 2 way components by morel in my rear deck too. But the alpine tweeters sound much much better. The morel mids were richer though. I'm powering them with a zapco 4.0 and they actually seem underpowered which is cool to think they can take more power. Nice going from point source to this for sure.

Just an update and late reply.

30hz-35hz is obviously a typo

And I had my first problem yesterday. They can play pretty loud but finaly it was too much for one of the 6.5"s and the rubber surround started to come unglued. Everything else is fine. I'm hoping I can just re-glue it though. I often wondered if my 4.0 was enough power but obviously it is.
