On the search for a head unit. I would prefer to find a true dead head but I'm not having any luck. Hoping someone here knows of some? Or have they stopped making them altogether? Thanks for any and all help.

Maybe he wants to store something inside the HU and doesn't want the internal amp taking up space:D

Wow guys thanks so much for all the model numbers. I've been looking everywhere for one. I called Crutchfield yesterday and they told me they don't sell any such thing. Emailed carstereoonline and haven't heard anything back from them. Called several local stereo shops and no help what so ever.
I guess most people don't care but I really hate to pay for something I'm not going to use. Plus it's just dead weight.

funny you say pay more for soemthing you won't use... most dead heads are the expensive decks, as they are usually the top line product.

I never used the word more. I only said that I don't want to pay for something I'm not going to use. Yeah I'm weird that way. I'm not looking for a budget head unit.
Still doing some research but as of right now I'm leaning toward the Eclipse.
