It might work, u can also use liquid nails, silicone, foam, expanding foam, foam tape w/ the one sticky side. There are all kinds off possibilities, u live in Indy?

i caulk all edges with multipurpose liquid nails... then i spray the inside of the box with rubberizer... it works nicely inside boxes... i measured my car w/o rubberizer and w/ rubberizer... it made a noticable difference to the ear... i will alwasy use rubberizer inside boxes!!!! and i believe that you should try it too... only draw back is it kinda smells for the first couple days... and it takes a while to be truely dry
