Would like a 52"+ tv thats full hd, 1080, but dont really want to spend more then $1000 - $1500 tops. There was a 72" Samsung DLP at sams awhile back for 1800 that i wish i had had the money for at the time. Just curious if there is anyway to get a tv for around that price..

yes, you can get a 42 fo under $500, if you don't need it on the wall you can get the rear projection dlp 52" 1080s in your budget all day, a lcd will take some searching.

ya i know they had some really good deals on tvs that day, my friends girl got him a 42" for $500 but she had to wait in line for 3 hours and the store only had 10.

definantly close enough, i just dont think 42" is gonna do it though..

Thanks for that link, that tv is actually really close to what i need although im curious what the refresh rate is, most people say to stay away from anything less then 120hz.

DLP would also be fine, like i said i wish i had snagged that 72" awhile ago, but i probably need to research the pros and cons of DLP vs lcd
