Hey all, nice forums, lots of good info. I looked around but didn't find anything specific enough for my question, be it a simple one. Heres whats up.

I've got a 93 Crown Vic, JL 300/2 driving a set of A/D/S 346cs (AKA PPI 356cs) components, rear stage stock. Its an alpine head unit. The front 6.5 midbass woofers are blown, and no longer work, tweeters OK. Now apparently A/D/S signed over to PPI or something alone those lines, then PPI went under control of Directed Electronics, i don't know how it all works out. Directed electronics i cant even seem to get a hold of, but ill try one more time.

346cs : http://www.precisionpower.com/speakers/component.htm#

ssmb6: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2543_Kicker+SSMB6.html

So not being able to get ahold of them to try and find a set of replacement woofers, i went searching around for a reasonably priced set of 6.5 woofers that matched up as close as possible. If i cannot get a replacement set of stock woofers, i was looking at a pair of Kicker ssmb6's. Now heres where i stand on this, I would love to put an amazing new component set in the car, but honestly, i don't want to waste a lot of money on it, I'm saving for a new one to really put money into. I'll be back when i have that (I'm looking for a 97/98 Mark VIII). So basically I'm looking for a little reassurance that those kickers would at least work pretty well, I'm not expecting stock woofer sound, but i think this is as close as i can find for my price range, 80$ tops.

So ya, whacha think? Any other suggestions? Thanks
