Ok, so here's my delema...I will be swapping the interior from a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis LS into my 1999 Ford CVPI. While I'm swaping dashes, I would like to clean up the radio reciever area.

As you can see, the factory double-DIN casset reciever is set in to the dash.

I think this is the ugliest part of the interior. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make this area look "more integrated"? I have an aftermarket CD head unit in my Vic with an aftermarket installation kit, and that fitment looks even worse. I'm even open to the idea of smoothing this spot on the dash all together and relocating my head unit.

Flush a screen in there, relocate head unit

Yeah, I've seen screens flushed in, and they look nice. But I really have no desire for video capabilities. But, I guess prices are coming down...

The bezel around the radio comes off, mold your dash kit in and retexture and paint and your done....

Hm, that could work. Anyone around here do that and have pictures?
