hey everyone,

so i wasn't going to start an intro post, but since i have only met a few of you so far in other threads, i figured what the heck.

first of all, my name is meredith and i hail from san luis obispo county in beautiful california. i became interested in car audio back in high school when i met my boyfriend-to-be, jesse. since then, i have had him work on several of my cars and am now beginning to learn a lot myself. we recently completed my 2004 dodge ram "super bee" which frmdrkside (jay) posted on here a few days ago. jay is jesse's business partner and both of them do phenomenal work. here is the thread if anyone is interested and a photo of the outside of the truck:

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=366723

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/pilotbear/truck%20progress/000_4491.jpg

my next project is my 2006 civic SI in which i hope to do most, if not all, of the work myself. the design is complete, so we should be starting on it soon:

glad to be here and i hope to share future projects with you all! ;)

hi guys! sorry, i was offline for a bit. this is definitely not a troll job haha. i'm a legitimate person.

as far as the truck, my boyfriend and his business partner did the build. their shop is Drive Customs (see my signature). i created and manage the website for them (again, see my sig). i'm learning how to fabricate, only done some small stuff so far. my 06 SI will be my project, so i'm hoping it goes well.

not 100% sure yet as far as the subs go. i'm going with Focal amps and CDT HD 6.5" and tweets. can't stand the Focal tweets. good equipment, but too bright for my preferences. thinking about the Ultra 12" subs. and i totally can see the rattle trap thing. i have already put hushmat on the deck lid, under the headliner, behind the pillars and on the rear package tray. planning on cascade on the floor. should help with the noise from the road, especially with these michelin tires.

the rear deck is the worst. your gonna have to do alot more than just that to stop it from rattling. my 3rd brake light smaks against the back windshield so hard i shoved a towel in between the 2 so it wouldnt ruin my tint.

well it will get more when i pull out the factory equipment. but i don't have a third brake light in the package tray. i have a coupe and the brake light is in the spoiler. my problem was the factory-installed satellite radio antenna. they left the wires hanging there on the headliner and it vibrated constantly. i wrapped some foam around it and hushmatted it under the headliner for now. man it was annoying!

it sure seems like it. maybe it should be changed to, a picture is worth 600+ posts or 12,000+ hits. maybe someday i'll post a photo other than in my profile. i'm sure i'll have some build pics from my car and since i'm doing most, if not all, of the install, there are bound to be some photos in there. :p:

well thank you! i appreciate it. i do happen to like chrome a lot myself. my truck has chrome 22" but mostly because i was going for modern muscle. i don't really dig the color-matched stuff too much, though i will consider a new set if i can find the right ones.
