I would recommend in getting the T/S parameters from Audiobahn and then build your box. I could just say build a 4cu' and port it to 40Hz but that may not work for that particular sub...then again it may. Rather than just building a box and slapping a sub in it at least try to make it right. I am more than willing to help you out but I am not one to just build a box that might work. If you get the parameters, pm me or e-mail me and I will be more than happy to help out.

With those parameters and WinISD, a 3cu' box ported to 42Hz will give you a nice peak at 47Hz...pretty loud.

If you need dimensions, give the L x W x H you are willing to work with and we can go from there.

3 cubes too small..

3.5-4, tuned mid 30's.

Why u say that, 3 cubes shouldnt be too samll, shouldnt it.

True, the bigger the box the better. I just threw and example out there until we know how much room he wants to work with.

sorry for taking so long i was at a car show in calgary
the length has to be 36 inches so it will fit anything else pretty much for width and height as long as it is not to big

When you say 36" long is that how long you want it or is that the max? Also, how big is too big?

my max dimensions are 36x18x18

Let's use 36" L x 17" D x 18" H.
This will give us internal dimensions of:
34.5 x 15.5 x 16.5 / 1728 = 5.1cu'
sub disp. = .47 port disp. = .725
5.1 - (.47 + .725) = 3.905cu' total air space.

A box that is 4cu' tuned to 43Hz needs a port 12" long. (according to WinISD. Tuned to 43Hz with a peak of 5.6dB @ 46Hz.)

A port that is 16.5" high needs a port correction of 8.25". Which gives us a total port length of 20.25" long.

In the drawings I have the external and internal dimensions.

Sombody please check these numbers. You said you wanted a SPL box so I shot for a peak at 46Hz.

The box:
The top and bottom will be 36" L x 17" D
The sides will be 17" L x 16.5" H
The back will be 34.5" L x 16.5" H
The front will be 31.5" L x 16.5" H
The port:
One peice 16.5" H x 12.5" L
One piece 16.5" H x 3.25" L
...using 3/4 MDF

The port will be 3" wide (sorry, must have left that out)

Make sure to print out the pics so you can see where/how the pieces join together. If you need better ones, e-mail me @ [email protected]aol.com and I can get some better, more detailed ones for you.
