yeah they're popular out here in NYC..most of the setups i've heard sound awful though since people run them full range..any way to set them up so they can sound a little decent?

look for sub models, i think there under low frequency transducer, what your looking at is a full range midwoofer

i installed some in the bowling center i work at. sound good, been beat on pretty hard by the counter people, and still keep working. will they do well in a car? most likely not.

EV makes some alright speakers.

They're just not intended to be used in cars.

I wouldnt do it. But those bishes do get loud. If he wants a mobile club he might be in for something.

They can be used in a car. However, results are mixed, mostly because the speakers are designed to be used in a large box and a car usually don't have enough volume for the speakers to operate correctly.

My co-worker's last job was installing massive sound systems in stadiums and @ concerts - they used massive *** globe-like arrays of huge EV woofers. I get the feeling putting their speakers in a car wouldn't be ideal from his descriptions of the positively gigantic cabinets they were installed in.

Look at the size of that dude next to those - and that's a small x-array. They make that scaled up into a full sphere.

Id caution against using full range pa woofers because they are designed to play a full range of notes rather than just bass so they dont necessarily have the xmax to play deep bass notes.

There is only one way...you have to run a HiFonics ZUEUS amp to it:D All kidding aside where I grew up in NJ they were very popular and loud(in like the late 80's early 90's). Most guys would just cut the back deck in their car and put in like 4 10's in. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't do it like that, but I belive they are a full range speaker.
