i have 2 pairs of JL TR525CXi speakers and i need to get a amp to power them. I was thinking of getting a 4ch Calibra amp that will push 110w into 4ohm in each channel but now it looks like it might be abit over kill. Would this be suitable or should I go for something smaller, and what do you recommend

Thanks

Something that does 50-75 RMS x 4 is plenty.

i use have a zapco C2K 2.5 going to mine. they are louder than when i had the JL 300/2, but i really liked the way that the JL amps sound.

generally they have more of a soft sound compared to the zapco's harsh crisp sound. jl provides clean clear power.

I've only heard a few Zapco's in my lifetime....but harsh and crisp are not 2 words I'd use to describe them...maybe something along the lines of beautiful and amazing.

But hey, that's just me ;)
