Are JVC Components any good???

Hi,

I was looking at these JVC component speakers to replace my factory one in my 2001 Mustang Cobra....I have the Mach460 system and will be installing a JVC kw-avx810 7" DVD headunit and am looking for good speakers to compliment it.

What do you guys think of these 2 components by JVC:

JVC Arsenal CS-ARS650 6.5"

JVC Arsenal CS-ARS680 6x8"


I'm leaning towards the 6x8 since it should be a direct replacement for my car....but what do you think?

the carbon fiber model comps are pretty good. if u can find them they are worth trying

the set i heard sounded.. cheap? im not sure how to explain it... just not a "full" sound i guess..

all the walmart ish lacks midrange/midbass and has harsh, very cheap peizo shounding tweets. yes, iv've heard them.

They sound good at low volumes though

OP I looked up the comp set you are interested in. For that price you can do much better.

I have some JVC components in 6.5 that I can't use anymore. But I love them, IMO they are > Pioneer 170C

the reason i ask is because i found those jvc arsenal speakers for $99....about $125 less expensive than all the other online sites i found
