Which would you recommend for componant setups? I'm new to the whole sound quality and am still running a stock front stage. Which should I look into?

Probably Hertz, but the DD's are a little cheaper.

How much are you looking to spend?

I'd pick up some HSK165's they run <300 around here.

They are great speakers, sound excellent, and can take gobs of power.

Do a search on Morel Tempo 6s as well. I've swapped out the HSK165s for my friends using these speakers and they are amazing.

DD component speakers? Am I off today or something?

You're asking about a SQ set-up...correct?

You'd be surprised. They sound pretty darn good. I heard them in a shop around me not too long ago, i was impressed.

Hmmm...well I haven't heard them. And we all know the reputation their subs have so, I guess I just assumed they are only meant to be LOUD enough to hear over their sub lines.

Morel Tempo 6 > Hertz Hsk165 > DD

DD has the new DD A Componet sets http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/dda.asp

We put a set in a customers Mustang and they are unreal, I can not compare them to the Hertz yet but maybe able to do a side by side in the next few days.

I think they are well worth the money, and the customer was very very very happy with them. He is now looking to go larger on the subs just cause the comps are so loud.

The DD high end components are pretty nice... They do the job with pretty good sound quality.

Morel Tempo 6 > Hertz Hsk165

This is what I can really say as I've never heard the DD's.

I always make my audio decisions based on videos, too...good thinking! Way to help out the OP.

I was impressed at how good the HSK sound VS the top of the line MLK 165.

Good stuff. MLk is more for people who likes lots of SPL without loosing any SQ.

If you don't have much , get some HSK and save some money buying deadening stuff. Proper install makes a lot of difference.

I wasn't impressed by the speakers in the vid. Sounded like they were recorded on a cheapo dig cam microphone and then played thru some crappy PC speakers

And why do you have 4 sets of comps in each door????
