DD-DXB01 (formerly known as "the pissed-off DD earbuds") will be available soon. No, they don't have the Z motors hanging off the back of them, but they do have a machined rear chamber that gives a bass response like no other earbud ever built. If you are the guy or gal that's complained about having no real bass output from your earbuds....it's time to stop BS'n and get a pair of DDs strapped on your head. Since our subwoofers are a little too heavy for most of you to hang from your ears, these are by far the next best thing. Now you can take your DDs everywhere you go. They're available now on preorder for $59 per pair.

ive always wanted some high quality headphones and I do love DD, but will it give me the sq that the famous bose can?

Listening to mine RIGHT NOW! Just got them in today.
And they sound great...playing Pearl Jam right now.

Amazingly smooth bass response in such a small package.
And get this --- THEY ARE TUNABLE!

You block off some of the 'vents' to get the response you want. I have 4 vents blocked now, gotta play w/ em some more though.

They don't have the rattle-crap bass like alot of other earbuds. They are smooth and the lows just roll through. Its pretty crazy for $60.

Just received mine and I must say I am a very happy customer. The highs can get a bit harsh at times but is overall very clear. the bass output is full and without distortion. I havent had time to mess around with tuning but overall these are well worth the money spent. Great stocking stuffer! (which is what mine are from the rents :D)

Also, I will add that DD's customer service/ ordering service is excellent and very friendly. Not only did the lady on the phone answer all my questions but we even had an off topic conversation that wasnt awkward ;)

there are strips that come with the earphones that you can cut up and use to cover the holes on the vents to tune them.

never tried a pair of E2Gs but my brother has a rather expensive pair of bose sound canceling headphone or whatever (the big ones not earbuds) and I would put them right about the same except with the bose having a little better bass but what more can you ask from an earbud...

weird question - but I do freestyle bmx riding with my headphones on.

right now im using sony studio monitor headphones ( the big ones )
and I wear a swet band over my head to keep them from flying off when I spin.
but its a little bulky.
whatever.

main point is - I can totaly shell out $20 for em at walmart every month or 3
as I destroy them with my swet. its hot as Hell in south FL. and when I get
done riding bike - I look like I been playing in the sprinkler system.

do you think that average amount of swet will destroy theese headphones in short time ?
as it would **** for me to buy a good set to try out - but kill in a matter of weeks due
to me being a dumb ***.
haha.

Shure's have sweat guards (little filters you put over the opening). I wear mine to the gym everyday and also have them on while riding my motorcycle. The wire wore out before the drivers even came close.
