Well I've been considering a lot of different setups for my hopefully soon-to-be wall build for my '88 civic hatchback. I was thinking of doing either 12 8's or 8 10's, but the cost and amount of wiring just kinda turns me away from those two ideas.

Here's a little example of what I have to work with(about 13.5ft^3 gross volume), with 3 15's and 196in^2 of port...box will be 18" deep, I just didn't feel like completing the whole thing since I'm still undecided on what configuration I want to run. The blank area in the middle kinda bothers me, so I might put some kind of logo there(Team Aces logo maybe?).

If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to throw them out there. I'm also considering running a single 21" DP, or maybe a pair of 18's that's work well in ~11.5-12ft^3...

8 10's would have much much more potential if u had the power and monies;)

That's the thing, I'll be resticted to 3kw at 1ohm next season so they'd have to be some low powered 10's...maybe RE10's?

That could be a possibility, but I'd be looking at $1200 for those shipped to me...just don't have the money for that.

hmm try 2 18's then. like ssd's or hdc3's.

Nice idea...those SX18's in the classifieds look tempting too...I've seen some good results with SX's.

2 hdc3's are only like 700 shipped. then when u get more power ud just get louder:)

Yeah, I'd think that they would move pretty well off of a 3k amp running at half ohm...

2 18's subs on the pass side, port on driver's side...

just don't make it too small just to fit more subs. I did a temp wall a few months back that was only 12cubesNET for 4 15" HDC's. It got loud, but would have been better with 3 subs in that sized enclosure...

That's why I was sticking with 3 15's for right now...I'm afraid I don't have enough room for a pair fo 18's(which I'd love to do). I mean, I could make more room, but it'd just be a pain since the floor raises up about 4" and narrows by about 12" right after the back seats...

3 15's = approximate cone area of 2 18's = needs approximately the same airspace

Well I've been doing some number crunching, and came up with this design. 11.5ft^3 tuned to 44hz for burps, plug the center port and get a 36hz tune for daily. Obviously bracing will be added, but so far this seems like the best bet besides a pair of 18's with the same port design.

Not really.

You could just put the mic on the passenger seat. ;)

In 2006 you had to. Now you can have it on either seat.

not to mention like 30 sq in of port...if even that

what about 6 12"s? 2 cubes per sub ported, that would move some air. thats what im thinking for my next wall

Didnt check the 1st one, but the 2nd one is 213in^ of port.

And 2 cubes would be fine. This is for SPL isnt it?

still on the small side for port, if anything, 4 15's might be doable, but I vote 3

2 cubes is entirely too small for a wall, even if its for SPL. Walls don't work the same as little CRX boxes.

Have you looked at any LOUD streetmax or superstreet vehicles lately?

This is a daily groundpounder first, and a potential burp/bassrace machine second...I'm more concerned with it being good sounding on a daily basis. I'm really considering 3 15" Lethal Injections...I think they'd do good for now off my sundown 1500 at 2/3ohm, and will really come to life once I get an undecided 3k amp.

Again, this is mainly for pleasure and just having some fun at local comps...nothing extreme.
