So several people have asked me lately how to cut good tight fitting angled pieces without a table saw. Here's the method i use, all you need is the circular saw and a device to transfer the angle.

First, i like to draw a full scale model so i can see the actual finished pattern. This is where i get all my measurements from instead of using math to figure it out.

So this is from the buyer of one of the builds i'm currently engaged in

So i make my full scale drawing, and then cut out the end piece and use that as a template to make 3 more pieces just like it using my router and flush trim bit.

Using the end piece, i take my angle gauge to get the exact form

I now transfer the angle to my circular saw (unplug the saw during this step)

And if everything works as it should, you will get a very nice tight fit

btw...the device used to transfer the angle can be bought at any Lowe's, Home Depot, Menard's or the like for around $5
