I am thoroughly satisfied with my upgrade from the hsk165 to the Morel tempo 6. Deeper midbass, detailed tweeter, very loud and crystal clear. Very stout component set.

It probably posted twice cause the forum lags sometimes :(

I have nothing to complain about yet... If you give them the power they want, they are awesome. Before I had my woofer come in, I ran them in full off my amp and they are insane. Low, Mid, and High all were full of love lol

I've ran the diamond s600s and loved them, solid midbass and a pretty clear midrange and tweeter, I've always wanted to check out the hertz hsk's but the way u guys talk about the morel I may go with that.

Default. The tweeters are actually so detailed its great.

Also, I think I need to give them more power :veryhapp:

Nice, Have you thought about playing around with the jumper settings? Or feel no need to.

How many watts you putting to them? I will be running 150x2 once I get everything.

What is your setup as far as the doors go?

bterz
10-30-2008, 05:58 AM
I just got them installed, havn't really adjusted any amp settings let alone head unit settings or x-over settings.

I believe right now they have about 90w pushing them but they are dieing for more.

As far as my doors go, I just sealed my door with sheet metal and im going to put my deadener in soon, as im going to need it cuz the mid-bass goes bOOM BOOM BOOM and my doors rattle :veryhapp::veryhapp::veryhapp:  :crap: :D:D

What're u doin for ur subs?, I noticed ur gonna be runnin the diamond audio d6 300.4. I'm thinkin of running the 700.4 but it may be too beefy, I don't wanna fry my speakers. I have an mb quart qsd 213 but I decided to go with either the morel tempo 6 and tempo 6x9's or the hertz. It's a tough choice.

^^not sure why its a tough choice, u asked for opinions and it looks like EVERYONE told you morel. Not sure what else you could have wanted to come out of this thread.

I'm in the same boat though, how much do you all feed your morels? or what would you consider optimum. I've got plenty of juice in my amp so the more they can (safely and effectively) occupy the better

Toss the Diamonds out of the equation.

As far as sub goes I am most likely going to run the Hertz HX 300D.

The Morels can take up to 280w. so I would not worry to much on having to much power, more like underpower. You should be fine.

Well, today I tried to put them to the test....but I failed.

I couldnt give them any more power, I have 600w to play with but any louder or more power and I think i would have bursted my ear drums.

macq32
10-30-2008, 10:54 PM
well ive got 300+ to throw at them, 280 is max power, or 280 is what they thrive at?

The Tempo 6 like anywhere from 100-250 with the upper being better. Just tune it right and don't be crazy and you'll be very satisfied. :veryhapp:
