Killer price on the Alpine. I'd go Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion.

I honestly don't know why so many people "vote" for the Alpine. It's featureless. Can only play back DVDs and discs with MP3/WMA, and that's it. No JPEG, MPEG, no DivX, nothing. Low pre-outs, medicore audio tuning, and not easy to bypass (video-in-motion). USB is not even built-in. The W505 barely does anything for you either, unless you add the IMPRINT processor; all it has over the W205 is built-in iPod (again something that isn't built in on the W205) and a larger screen.

Alpine seems to get by on their name in a lot of cases, and little else.

Funny, I was thinking pretty much the same thing.

505 has larger screen, it has USB built in, can play divx files, and has one of the most efficient means of bypass.

But what would I know.
