Are these better for music of movies?
Both.
B&W makes a matching center channel.
Those are excellent speakers.

Indeed... B&W is great for both.
Add a subwoofer to these speakers and a center channel and you have a hell of a 3.1 system.
I never ever watch movies, so there's no point in buying speakers made for movies. I just want a nice 2.0/.1 setup.

Dude, you have no idea what these things sound like for music alone. You hook them up to a nice amp (not some cheap crap) and listen to your favorite CD and you will poop yourself how they sound alone (2.0 setup). I have a/d/s/ MV80t's and I was trying to figure out what I would do with these just so I could have them :D (MV80t's have 3-8" woofers and 2-1 1/2" tweeters that sandwhich a single 1" tweeter know as Diapolito array. Extremely nice natural sound).

How much power do these need?
joetama
11-04-2008, 06:59 AM
They will be happy with just a few watts.
Most decent quality receivers should be able to drive them no problem.
Of if you wanted to go fancy I've heard them run on a 10 Watt Class A amp and sound good.

very nice speakers, I have a pair of 602s3's I use for rears. I may pick these up if you still have them at the end of the month, son's birthday is coming up...
