I hope that one day somebody will get it right and include:

No internal amp
Standard, 3-way, 4-way active, with ssf
Mp3, Wma, WAV
Parametric and Graphic EQ with bands from 20-20
TA
A decent USB/Ipod/Hdd interface
Good D/A converters..
Bluetooth

Thats all I can think of for now.

better cage type that would have a dampner or something so it could be shaken a little more with out skipping - does that make sense

Sounds pretty similar to a eclipse 7200mkii except no 4 way active and no graphic eq.

Excellent UI

Simple button layout, but functional.

30 band EQ may as well........ with a flip out DVD screen that has navi, and an optional 100 gig hard drive.

I doubt a company will make a headunit that is 4-way and a large EQ. The average user does not need these features. i think it's more cost effective for a company to make a more basic headunit and sell an additional processor.

With all that ability for SQ tweak, it's a shame it has to send RCA to the back AFTER all that processing is done.

40GB upgradeable internal HDD; MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, WMA, etc...multi-audio format recognition
CD drive that can rip CD's onto HDD
DVD drive
Excellent DACs
unbalanced, balanced, optical outputs
balance, fader
wireless remote control
detachable face
USB
Bluetooth
HD Radio tuner
7" touch-screen
Owner's manual printed in the USA with no grammar/spelling mistakes
Built-in RTA, mic included
4 relayed switch outputs:cool:

Basically a very high quality source unit. I would leave all that processing in the trunk getting fed unbalanced/optical signals, no noise ftw.

I can only imagine how much that costs. While you're putting in an RTA, might as well include a TL and mic.

I thought about that but removed it. A TL should be portable.
