Ive been searching and cant find any real up to date info on this HU. Ive read through the manual and it seems real nice, so Im aware of what it can do.

Can anyone whos owned one post some pros/cons of this HU? How does it compare to the Pioneer 880/800PRS?

the 800-prs has an independent 16band geq, the eclipse does not, eclipse uses a 11 band peq. The eclipse might **** you off with that joint dpad(i own the cd7000), you will make careless mistakes on accident. On the 800 prs you can tune with the remote

It's a very very nice unit, I prefer mine over my friend's 880PRS primarily because of the USB-input, bluetooth phone connect, PEQ, and harmonizer. Pioneer's technology that they use to "restore" MP3's to higher quality is not nearly as effective as Eclipse's harmonizer in my opinion. The interface is very refined over the CD7100 and the knobs/buttons are very precise and not too touchy as with previous CD-series Eclipse's.

And I actually really like the screen, very clear for me :)

I'd recommend it, especially if you work at circuit city! Accommodation price is sub-$300!

I ordered one from CC (when I worked there) in March... I still have yet to see it. Maybe, I'll give 'em a call...
