playing music video's while driving

i have the jensen VM9312, i have a switch connected to the brake cable, but thats annoying now. it doesnt always take the 3 pulses, sometimes it takes alot mure flips of the switch. i reallly want to make it permanent, so i can just pop in a dvd and go.
Any Suggestions?
