Does anyone know how i can find out how much plexiglass i would need to make a sealed enclosure. I will need 0.5 Cubic feet, and would like for it to be as close to a cube as possible. I would also need enough extra plexiglass to make an amp rack, which would only take a few sq. ft. Also, what would i use to cut the plexiglass.

Also, the sub im using claims 1200 watts. With that much power, the flexing of plexiglass, and the fact that the box will be sealed, would the box possibly break where it is screwed together. I have heard of this happening with other small sealed boxes. I made a typo in the first post. The box will need to be 0.75 cubic feet. Here is the webpage on the sub i will be using http://www.splusa.net/ML.HTM If anyone has heard what one of these subs sound like, please PM me about if it is good or bad.

you'll need 1/2" plexi if not 3/4" it's gonna cost you over 100 bucks just to get the material not including what you use to cut it and seal it. main reason people don't use plexi much is b/c of the cost of it.

Gately Audio makes plexiglass enclosures out of 1/2" plexiglass. My friend has a Gately Audio enclosure, and he has never had a problem with it. I'm prolbably going to use 1/2 plexiglass also.
