whats up my name is bradley im from SC. im not new to car audio but have been away from the industry for about 6 yearrs now and lots have changed. i hope to learn alot here and try to help others. i used to help a few local installers in my spare time so i do have some knowledge. after hearing a friends setup in his truck i got the bug agian. he has 1 12' FI Q with a sundown amp. man that thing sounds great. after many years of SPL i want more SQ. as of now thats where i stand

im driven a 2004 chevy xcab z71. and my wife has a 06' honda pilot which is next after im done with my truck.

i was thinking shallow mount but im worried i wont be able to get the SQ i want from one. my friends z71 has 1 12 FI q under the back set. looks like it belongs there too. im leaning towards that but hte amp i i have for now is a MTX tc4001 and only goes to 2ohms. i could get another mtx tc4001 and use one per VC but im not sure..

Welcome, I was out of it for about 10 years, and got back in a couple years ago. BTW, you can get the q in d1 config, which would be perfect for your amp.
