I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero and I am interested in getting the viper 5900 system, my cousin had it and it was amazing, now my question is should I put it in myself or get it Professionally done. I've never done an alarm install before and god knows what I could mess up. Any suggestions? :) If it's easy I'll go for it, but my car has some passlock or passkey BS and I don't want to cut wires etc not knowing what I am doing what do you guys think?

Will do, I know a guy at ABC warehouse, he got me a 85 dollar discount on my headunit. I can take it to the them and have them do it. Thanks for the input.

All the big chains around here ****(besides ABC :)), all the work I have seen has been total garbage.

They are advertising 199.95 installed, I can talk them down of course, but what do you think?

I don't know about alarm installs and I ask for advice and I am an idiot? hmm do I **** up my car and pay even more for repairs or. Have a pro do it and be done with it no worries, I'll take the second choice. And what did I say about your build :)

Haha yeah, the one near me in canton does a good job, ABC also owns mickey shorr who does decent work, my friend had them install all his stuff and it came out nice.

Oh and they said if I take out my headunit I void their installation warranty, how will they know? I could put a camera back there and take a picture to see if there are stickers or something but I was wondering because I need to put in another pair of RCA's and I dont want to drive up there to have them do it when itll take me 10 seconds.
