View Full Version : Where to get thick 14" diameter wooden tubes

Just like the title says, where the hell do you find something like that? I want to make a custom sub box, like the one below for my dorm/bedroom. I plan on having it for YEARS, so I want to make it right once, and I think this would be slick. Just have no idea where to find the tube part, kerfing and bending it would be RIDICULOUS.

tc2000 12" in sonotube 3.5cubes at like 19hz, perfect for my needs, but wish i woulda gone with a 15 sometimes

IMO you will never find wood tubes. Everyone uses the cardboard tubes used for concrete forms and adds fiberglass to it.

lots of MDF rings glued together...thats what we dod for Todd's 15" tube box.

Dayum you guys are fast, I searched for 5 minutes, found my answer with sonotubes, and come back to you guys already answering:D Still reading more, but learned that it's sonotubes used, I think I like this idea a lot
