crx style port, 4 subs on top. tuned around 33hz. If you can help me out that would be sweet, going to be buying wood tonight so if someone can load something up for me that would be great.

IDK what u mean by crx style port, but here's a quick one with the RE Audio box builder.

Use your dimensions, then 5 for port width and 8 for length, Gives [email protected]

Well, there are a few diffrent styles of "CRX" boxes. I believe you want a slot port subs up port back. What are the dimentions you have to work with? What kind of subs are they do you have pics of the car it is goin into?

With those dimensions, that only gives you about 5cuft before port/sub/bracing displacement. What subs are going in it? Most 10's are going to be happy in 1.0-1.25cuft per. So that's going to be tight.

Again, this is something quick from the RE box builder

Enter these amounts:

Width - 14
height - 36
top depth - 22
bottom depth - 22
wood - .75
Port width - 1.5
Port lenght - 0

It gives 4.427 ft^3 @33.13
Or you could also go with 1.75 for port width and 8 for length for same tuning

For $15 I can do a box that I design in BassBox Pro, which is much more accurate than RE calc.

lol....

I'm gonna eat and design him a box

I don't understand why people charge to design a box that takes less then 5 minutes to do.

I'll even give you a cutsheet lol

btw...with that small of a box for 4 10s....you'd possibly be better off going sealed.

4 10s...that need at least 1.5 per ported to get any kind of low note out of them.

Thats 6 cubes...which is already bigger then the max dimensions you've got.

IMO go for 2 subs in a perfect enclosure instead of trying to shoehorn 4 in there

2 will be louder IMO

the subs only require .75 - 1. cube ported... someone hook me up.

even if you go with 4 cubes after displacements...say each woofer displaces .1...that leaves you .6 usable space to use for a port.

You don't have a big enough box to let the be short to get the tuning you want, so say the port has to be 20'' deep...34.5'' wide, and 3'' tall

thats 1.2 cubes of port displacement, and thats still tuned kind of high for that small of an enclosure.

So if you did your port like that...your enclosure would be around half a cube per sub...and in that small of a ported enclosure you'd have no low end output at all

okay cool,, So I guess I should go sealed then. Should I do the 4 10''s facing up. or have then face the trunk? Im only dealing with 36W. So i would have to make a M shape to have them all on the front..tgsp, i tried pm'n you, but your mailbox is full.
