wasabi, if you cant tell by what i write i am just beginning to get into car audio(noob) and need help. iam seeking advice on the best speakers for my 02 S-10 and iam looking to get component speakers 6 1/2 (tweeters and crossover) for the price under $300 and 4x6 under $150 I would like them to hold at least 75 watts rms and iam looking for the best quality amp to push them for under $400. I would be thankful if someone can help me out. I listen to mostly metal, alernative, rap, country and blues. so basically i need the best all around ones.

even the best name brands that you think are good and around these prices i can look for the exact model numbers. the names i was looking at were Eclipse:p (course), mb quart, ma audio, Diamond, CDT, andFocal. but eclipse dont hold much power on there 4x6

Subs: two Eclipse aluminum cone 12"dvc (SW8122DVC) want Ti.

http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/CDT_Audio_Components.html - CL-61a's....I own a pair myself, great all-around speakers, and an even better price. But the best advice I can give is to go to all the local shops around you and listen to what you can before making a purchase.

You should probably be able to find one if you look hard enough....but if not....you can pretty much flip a coin, both are great. I'd personally take the CDT's because they're cheaper...

i second the cdt's they are amazing. And easy to install. I am powering mine with a usx 2080. 80watts is nice.:D

Sorry not paying attention already gave website. I can not find if CDT makes 4x6 they sure not for sell.

Where are your 4x6s in the car? If they're in the back, you will not need them. A set of comp speakers up front and an amp is all you will need.

Yes 6.5s are in the lower left hand of the door.

I say ditch the 4x6's....put the 6.5" driver in the doors and the tweets in the dash
