I'm in Manassas (30 minutes south of DC) as well. What kind of box? How big? Give me some specifics and I might be able to build one.
Here are the two boxes I/my dad have done:

BTW, the first box is 2.1cuft tuned around 33hz and is for sale......well its free if someone wants it and will pick it up. The second box is a 2.95cuft sealed box with a flush mount. Bunch of pics on my photobucket of both boxes.

i'll get a design for u. i need something thats 3 cu ft, tuned to 30hz. it needs to be built with mdf ultralite (i can reimburse u for the wood) and the box no higher than 13 inches high ( sub mounted on top and port facing trunk). if higher than
13" it'll hit the bars in my trunk. so what chu think??
