Todays progress, took less than 3 hours of work in 102 degree weather
I ****ed up on the front and back piece, cut em to short so luckily i had spare wood laying around.

The cuts are pretty **** exact. Id shave each peace as many times as it took to get them exactly on the yard stick line. Its getting easier and alot smoother doing work. Id really like to get a bigger table saw and a higher quality one that's more precise.

Changed saw blades, my old ripping blade used to work fine until i saw that half the teeth work broken off. I replaced it with a 180 tooth smooth cut blade and it made some nice micro groves the glue will love to get a hold of.

just need to glue down the top n sand it all down and the box will be done

I don't like how the subs sit so low, imo mounted too deep looks worse than mounted on top, idk if it bothers you or you care at all but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to figure something out to use as spacers

sweet box otherwise :)

ive seen a few boxes where the subs are mounted pretty low and imo it looks better. honestly i dont think it makes much of a difference and its just personal preference

I know what ya mean. I would have gone wider and thinner but thin ports just look weird to me and dont seem as efficient. Maybe its just me

I did whatever i could to minimize any noise/turbulance.

I put 45's in all the corners of the port and i sanded down and rough exposed edjes. I think it will be just fine.

If i could have changed one thing i would have spaced it out a little farther from the speakers but There is still a good 2 inches between the bottom of the magnet and the top of the port (not the port hole).

If I can get a pic with a sub in there ill try. Ill probably drill the mounting holes for them when i get home

Im glad you guys like the way it looks though. As long as SVT is happy with it, i am.
I might have to wire it up to my 2500D(with gains all the way down ofcourse) just to test it out for leaks ;)
but i dont have any **** space in my truck haha

Thanks for all the criticizm though, i really appreciate it.
Ill try to get more pics of the final product

hey if you ever wanna try to experiment with less volume, we can find some wood blocks or something and attach them inside the box to see how the subs act. It all depends on how they will perform with ur amp ;) I could feel the cones get slightly warm when running off the orion but nothing to worry about. I cant wait to actually hear them inside the car. They always sound different when there on the outside
