Also.. I haven't really found a wiring harness anywhere..

All I really need is the main power wire.. The speakers will be powered off the amp.

Do I even want/ need a harness?

yes the narness is all bundled toghter with speaker wires and power wires

please spend the 10 bucks and get the harness

Definitely get a wiring harness. It will make your life very easy.

Not sure about the dash kit, though. I've never had to use one.

best buy has metra kits
they are very good sturdy kits

ive used the cheaper kits...dont bother

spend the extra money and do it once or spend 5 bucks and do it 2 times
