I am about to jump on the hype wagon and try out 2 10" HDC3's, thinking they will be a step up from my type R's. I want to use 6" Aero(precision) ports but I'm not sure on how many to use and how long to cut them to get a good low tuning frequency. I am gonna buy them from parts express http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=268-354 they can make a port up to 17" long. Someone give me an idea on how to get this right. Thanks.

x3, 1500 isn't enough juice for a pair of HDC's. Just get SDC2.5's unless you plan on a bigger amp...

Thats not an extra Baffle. Its the port wall:D 29inches long. For that box size in my car is 47hz. which seems to be the res. frequency of my gp.:D
First time looking at a slot box?

I got ya:veryhapp:
This is my first box attempt. I made the hole to big and the sub moved around bout 1/2 inch. and all I had left was enough to cover one side. Current box is for tuning puposes mostly. It gave me a 2db jump so I kept it.:D

lmao I would have at least covered the entire front with a new baffle, but to each his own. It doesn't look like you were trying to create a work of art... :veryhapp:
