So. I'm really liking receivers at this point, I have no reason to play CDs (I have an iPod) however, I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-P7000BT and it seems to fit the bill, just wonder if there are any comparable receivers that would better fit a budget.

I need.
HD Radio
AM/FM Radio
Line-In USB on face or back.

no need for a cd player attachment.

I might be wrong, but I think all of the models by Pioneer with UB in the name have USB. you may have to buy the add on for the ones that don't.

Pioneers are good HUs. I am really curious about the Alpine 9887 though.

I bought an Alpine for my wifes' ride... I liked it so much , I bought another for me. I we use are Ipod's . Get the dedicated ipod cable.

It sound great! And the ipod interface is second to none!

You might try these amps, I put them in my wifes with Boston Pro's and a JL Audio Stealthbox sub.

Don't cheap out on your speakers and do an adequate sub and you will like...

Youll be perfectly happy with the pioneer 7000

it comes with the bluetooth mic and all of that so no need to buy extra pieces. It has HD, comes with a USB cable that can be ran to the glovebox or center console or wherever you want. Also plays normal am/fm....

plus pioneers have pretty decent controls: sub phase/low pass/ high pass/fader/some have eq... plus low mid and high adjustments... theres more as well

some even have voltmeter displays.... ;)
