Well my girl is getting a 96 4 door 4x4 (ls model i believe) blazer. The max dimensions i came up with are about 35'' wide, 39'' deep, and 15'' high. These were just quick measurements, but can someone tell me some exact ones? Im gonna be competing with this vehicle (instead of my crappy trunk car) and need a box. I was thinking about doing 15'' high- 35'' wide- and 34'' deep for 8.5 cubes after displacement. I was gonna do 200 sq'' of port tuned to 45 hz for comps, is this a good number for this vehicle? Should i do subs up, port back (crx style), subs and port up, or subs and port back? Im just looking for all out spl for right now. Im going to be throwing my subs and amps from my sig in it. Anyone know what size alt this truck has? I know its got power everything, so i was guessing it should be a bit bigger then my 105 amp in my car

you can get 11.25 cubes in the back up to the top of the seats but the seats dont snap back down in place, the seats are pretty much settting straight up but that's in a 93 so i dont know about a 96

What are the max dimensions? I only had like 2 min to look over the truck, and only got rough measurements

it's 90 amp last time i checked unless they changed the alt's from 93 to 96 which is doubtful seeing as nothing changed from my 93' jimmy to that 96' blazer except body style. you sure it's only those dimensions?? i know my car is 38wide wheel to wheel well, 17tall top of back seat, and 33 deep maybe they changed it. i know my sub box is 36.5x31.5x14 interior so that is 9.3 cuft so that's what i'm working with minus port and sub displacment just under 9 i think it's like 8.8 net.

i guess there is a slight dif. in the blazer to the jimmy then. yours is same year as mine and i know the dimensions i have are the max b/c i put that big bastard in lol and it's literally flush with top of back seat, wheel well to wheel well and back of seat to back.

hmmm.....i dunno where i got 39 from then lol. I got a design from dave from re, and loyd, for a crx box thats 36'' wide, 32'' deep, and 14'' high. Port is probably going to be 34.5''wide x 3'' high. Maybe i measured the bottom of the seats, and they probably slope right?

yes the back seat is slanted you could slant the back of you box to maybe get an extra cube or 2

Hmmm....whats the max with the seats up? Im going 32'' deep, how much clearance is that going to give me behind the box and the tailgate?

with the seat up and locked into place i would go 30 deep and 32 deep if you want the seats up but not locked in place just be sure not to get in a wreck with any one back there with that 100lb+ box behind em:p

yeah i know that problem lol. i have 2 box's for that reason though 1 that is 32wide 14 tall and 12 deep for daily and the other is 38 wide 33 deep and 17 tall for comps hehe. but i also put the back seat down for comps b/c of my box design.

When u have ur seats down, with the 33'' depth, how far is the clearance between the back of the box and the tail gate? Im doing a crz box, and im looking for about 6''-7'' clearance

actually when i pull the seat down i pull the box about 6-9" away from the tailgate. otherwise i have to have the seat unlocked and moved forward about 1-1.5" to even have the subs fit lol.

So u have a maximum width of 38'' and height of 17''? does this stay under the window line for db drag?
