This box is for a 18" RD Alpha V1

6.75ft^3 net tuned to 34hz with 111 in^2 of port (this thing is HUGE)

Due to the size I have to do the carpet a little different so I figured this would be a great time to try this out.

Yours looks like the first pic but smaller, lol

Yes, I picked up a few bits, spiral upcut, flush trim, a couple of different size roundover bits, a pattern bit (like a flush trim but the guide is on top)

I ran the flush trim around the port before rounding it over but I forgot to take a pic of that step.

i see... i have a pattern bit. flush bit, 3/8" roundover, 1" roundover, spiral upcut, and a bunch of other bits i cant think of atm

Carpet technique works well, as I used it on jbizzles box. For a side port box I have the outer port wall go all the way to the front, so I measured back 3/4" and did a dado cut to match up with the 3 sides I did a rabbet on...

u forgot to paint the top of the port and i hope there is some bracing in there on that face or its going to flex like crazy with that 18

The port is all painted, that's just the flash on my camera. Also it's is well braced don't worry.

might want to put round corners, this will help more to build up the pressure... just an opinion...
