okay i have a box that is flat in the front, top, bottom and sides but the back is slanted (fits perfect in my trunk) anyway, can someone tell me the volume of my box. its made of 3/4" MDF. the dimensions are:

front height: 14"
bottom width: 14"
top width: 8"
front width: 27"
slant length: 15"

mine was after account for 3/4" mdf....and of course before driver displacement...

When using 3/4" these measurements become:
front height: 14" = 12.5
bottom width: 14" = 12.5
top width: 8" = 6.5
front width: 27" = 25.5

So let's do the rectangle first:
12.5 x 12.5 x 25.5 / 1728 = 2.31

And now the triangle: (w/ the base being 6 ((12.5 - 6.5 = 6))
6 x 12.5 x 25.5 / 2 / 1728 = .55

So:
2.31 + .55 = 2.86

Not what you guys got, but no matter how I do it, it's what I get.

In your post you listed 3 widths and NO depths?
Your box should have one width, not three.

If this drawing is correct. You have 1.75 cuft.

That is how I drew the box whan I figured it. I also got 1.75, but I checked it and I was wrong. look at my #'s above...

A 12.5 x 12.5 x 25.5 rectangle doesn't fit into this box. The top is only 6.5" deep.
The rectangle should be 6.5 x 12.5 x 25.5, then add the triangle.
1.199(rectangle) + .55(triangle) = 1.74 cuft.

so I was right the first time. I took the bottom # instead of the top.
