Finally got around to putting in my sub, TC-9 based Eclipse. Box is 1.5 tuned to 35 hz, but I think I'm going to build a new box tomorrow tuned to 30 or 31.

As of now this sub gets LOW, much lower than my 130v.2, and as low as my MAW-15 did in a box tuned to 32 hz, but a hell of a lot cleaner.

Bass is super clean and tight, but like I said I'm going to mess around with a new box tomorrow, something with lower tuning and less port area.

It's a D4 btw, so it's getting about 500 watts rms from my NINe.5

What you see now is temporary. There will be a false floor above the amp, so it will be hidden from all those on-lookers at Wal-Mart when I pop my trunk.

Plan is to finish up everything tomorrow, but here is what I got finished today.

nice looking install though. So you gonna carpet that up? I took my trunk stuff out this weekend, and was gonna deaden it, but was confused on what to do after that. I'd like to seal off that spare tire spot too, but i want to put the carpet back in.

so does this get pretty loud? ive got my tc-9/re hybrid running 1.6 sealed on 1100 rms and its decently loud but wish it got alittle louder. i was suggested 2.3 ported at 34 hz but didnt want to give up the space in my trunk. how much if any output you think ill lose if i go 1.6 like you did ported as opposed to the 2.3 cubes.

No carpet, I'm going to paint the box eventually.

And yes, the sub does get pretty **** loud for only seeing 500 watts RMS.

TC-9 FTW :D

Hard to say, MDF is cheap, build a few boxes and try it out.

My brother had a big system in his, ugh, 1993 Geo Tracker that always whined with the engine upon acceleration. I'm surprised you've managed to circumvent that whilst using the stock grounding.

Very impressed, young man. Though, we do need to talk about your car. Your screen name indicates a 2005+ Pontiac GTO, yet you have a four banger silver Accord...over-promised/under-delivered. ;-) Smooches.

Are you putting the factory carpet back in? Like the side panels? How thick is that MDF? I'm in the same dilemma trying to put my amps in that location in an accord but still want to retain my factory carpet. Don't know if it will fit over the mdf though.
