Been into car audio since the late 80's. Cut my teeth on a punch 45. As I got into college, my systems got bigger and more expensive. Playing around with a new scanner, throwing up some old poleroid pics you all might appreciate.

Gold hatch back is a Chevette with all Orion SX amps and XTR 12's, started with 2 - 12's ended up with 4 -12's in a band pass enclosure, was just a wall behind the front seats with a big slotted port in the middle, 5 - 2150sx's. Was pretty nuts.

The bronco pic was a friends that I helped with.

Pic of me next to one of my artistic creations, Eddie from Somewhere in Time drawn free hand with black sharpies.

After college (art school) I got married and went to work. The Sound Stream amps are in the back of a 97 Caddilac Catera, powering 2 - JL 15w6's. It looked better with all the trim pieces installed, I just can't find pics.

EX-GF pics, Donnette from South Carolina, they were in my shoe box of pictures, just throwin' em in for the halabot.

what do you run now?

In my 2004 Silverado: Alpine 7969, JL 1000/1 and 300/2, 2- USD pro 12's, JL XR components.

Just picked up a HHR SS last week, Have 2 pair of JL XR 6.5's laying around that are going in it. Waiting on 500/1, 300/4, 8w3v3, and clean sweeps to come in that I got off of ebay. Still need to get some sort of dampening material, wiring, fiberglass resen ect..... It will be a few months before I start the install.

w3 from JL is not that great, only thing worth anything is their w6 and up, but nice equipments overall though.

I'd get other amps though, JL amps are pretty inefficient :D

Has to look stock, the car has an 8" factory sub w/ .40 of airspace. You know of another 8 that will work better? Keep in mind, I use this car for picking up my kids and doing "family" orented stuff. Just looking for loud and clean. I've used many, many, many amps. As far as sound quality, JL is tough to beat for the price.

8w7? Or check out Soundsplinter.com, their 8" RL-i are pretty ****** supposedly.

As far as SQ amps goes, that's up in the air. Some people don't believe in that stuff, some do
