I am going to build a box for my 12w7 per jl specs which are 1.75cu and 32hz.
1inch baffle and wall thickness of 3/4
You have to scroll down to the 12w7 enclosure Specs
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/557.pdf

Could someone please let me know what are my exact cuts are going to be?

I need the exact cuts of every peice. I just dont have the time to figure this all out because you have to take in consideration measuremenst change when you start putting peices together. I just want to be able just to make my exact cuts and when you put everything together it will be on point

Its not all that hard to figure out. I could draw it up in autocad if you want, but really its not all that hard just takes a few minutes and you can figure it out. If your planning on building it you most certainly should be able to at least figure this out yourself.

and how do you plan to get a 1" baffle w/ 3/4 MDF? maybe a 1.5" baffle (double)

Isn't there a site that you just plug in the number and it gives you your exact cuts?

Just going by jl specs, so they dont sell 1' mdf? This is already turning into a night mare. I just might go ahead and just buy this and save the headache of the buildhttp://cgi.ebay.com/PORTED-MDF-SUB-ENCLOSURE-BOX-for-JL-AUDIO-12W7-12-W7_W0QQitemZ360064293831QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item36 0064293831&_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The only difference I see here is that Jl specs ask for a 32hz and this ebay box says it is a 36.7hz? should this be a problem, which is better?

lolz.

feg, i didn't think he'd buy a whole sheet of 1" for a fckin baffle. maybe so, but doubtful

just drop to a 3/4" front baffle and add 1/4" to the second piece in the port, or do a double 3/4" front baffle and subtract 1/2" from the second piece in the port.

Looks like they just took 3/4" and slapped a 1/2" piece to make up their front baffle. Box certainly looks better than some of the prefab boxes out there.

Just wondering because i do no have an eye for that kind of thing, why would you say that this box looks better than some of the prefabs out there? What do you see thats better?
Thanks

generally a lot of the prefab stuff will not be exactly as advertised, many using 5/8's mdf or 1/2" and all around mass produced inperfections and compromises on airspace and tuning, not tuned to what they say and so forth and so on.

2 of 22.5" x 15.5" front and rear panel
2of 22.5" x 14.02" top and bottom panel
2 of 14.02" x 14.02" left and right panel
1 of 14.02" x 13.03" left port panel
1 of 14.02" x 7.64" top port panel
i wouldn't worry about the front panel being cut from 1 in. board. if you use the .75 in. board it will work fine. i put the enclosure in winisd and the tunning frequency doesn't change much. put it this way your ears won't hear the difference. if you're worried about the front panel flexing then just put 2 braces.
